Professional biography
Dr. Segura is excited to return to her hometown in Northern Virginia! Prior to returning home, she practiced as a Primary Care Pediatrician for three years at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) academic practice in South Philadelphia. In her role as an attending pediatrician at CHOP, she taught the University of Pennsylvania medical students and CHOP pediatrics residents during their primary care pediatrics rotations.
Additionally, she is a two-time winner of the George Washington University Resident Teaching Award during her residency.
Dr. Segura is very passionate about medical education and will bring this enthusiasm of teaching to her patients. Dr. Segura is a board certified pediatrician and takes a special interest in newborn care, childhood nutrition, eczema management, and adolescent health. She is also a native Spanish speaker.
Dr. Segura resides in Northern Virginia with her husband, a local dermatologist, and their baby. In her free time, she enjoys running, learning to cook, and spending time with both of their families and friends. Dr. Segura remains excited to be a part of Einstein Pediatrics. She is looking forward to meeting and forming long-lasting relationships with you and your families.
