If An Emergency Should Arise, Please Call 911

Emergencies are considered to be those conditions that are life-threatening: loss of consciousness, severe bleeding, seizure, etc. In the case of minor emergencies (lacerations, cuts, mild fractures, sprains), please call our office first for instructions.

What to Do if Your Child Needs Immediate Care

24 hours per day, you can call our main number at 703-344-7330 (Option #1). There is always a medical provider from the practice on call 365 days per year. 


As part of our commitment to innovation and enhancing your experience with us, we have transitioned our after-hours triage service to Hello Pediatrics.


 One new feature of this transition is the option for telemedicine. If you need urgent assistance outside of regular clinic hours, you will have the choice to connect with a healthcare professional via telemedicine through Hello Pediatrics, avoiding busy Urgent Cares and/or Emergency Departments when possible.


Questions about infant care, feeding, medication refills and other non urgent matters are best sent to the patient portal or called in during our regular business hours for no fee.


To be transparent, please note the following:


• Einstein’s standard $20 after-hours call fee will be applied to your account.

• Hello Pediatrics will also bill your insurance in the event you choose an after-hours telemedicine appointment with them.

• Hello Pediatrics will not charge your insurance for providing basic medical advice/guidance over the phone or via text.

Einstein Pediatrics is making it easier to get care when we are closed. Through our partnership with Hello Pediatrics we can provide more options for you and your family, particularly after our regular business hours!


What do you get?

  • Access to telehealth visits with Board Certified Pediatricians in the evening, on weekends, & holidays
  • Continuity of care between Hello Pediatrics & Einstein Peds providers
  • Follow up care by your team at Einstein Peds
  • Integration of appointment notes into your child’s EHR at Einstein

Billing: Telehealth visits by Hello Pediatrics will be billed to your insurance like any office visit which is usually substantially cheaper than urgent care.  Patient balances (copays, deductibles, coinsurance) will be billed and collected by Hello Pediatrics.
