Get to Know Us

Choosing the right pediatrician is an important decision, and we’re here to help! That’s why we offer several ways to get to know us before your baby arrives, including live virtual newborn classes, virtual 30-minute Q&A group sessions with a provider, and in-person visits to explore our practice.

Breastfeeding Support

At Einstein Pediatrics, we believe breastfeeding support should be personalized and judgment-free because every journey is unique. Our in-house IBCLC-certified lactation consultant provides compassionate guidance to make breastfeeding easier, whether in person or virtually. For your convenience, we often coordinate lactation visits with your doctor appointments, allowing our lactation consultant and pediatric providers to collaborate seamlessly and ensure the best care for you and your baby.  In addition we have specific infant rooms with chairs for feeding.

We love babies and enjoy helping families learn how to breastfeed! We will help you as little or as much as you need. We provide in-office feeding evaluations for hands-on help as well as phone support for any questions you may have along your breastfeeding journey.

Some areas we can provide guidance include:

  • Positioning your baby at the breast and latching
  • Caring for your breasts and nipples
  • Assessing milk transfer
  • Assuring adequate nutrition
  • Assembling and using a breast pump, including sizing for the right size flange
  • Storing milk
  • Returning to work/school while breastfeeding
  • Traveling and breastfeeding
  • Training a breastfeeding baby to a bottle
  • Breastfeeding premature babies
  • Managing slow weight gain babies
  • Breastfeeding babies with special medical needs such as cleft palate, Down Syndrome, and heart conditions

Why Einstein?

At Einstein Pediatrics, we know how important it is to find a practice you can trust with your newborn’s care. That’s why we’ve created a safe and nurturing environment, with infant-only rooms to protect your baby from unnecessary exposure and a steadfast commitment to CDC/ACIP vaccine guidelines to ensure their health and safety.  Our providers are leaders in our community and in the commonwealth of Virginia who continue to receive Top Doctors Awards every year from the Washingtonian and Northern Virginia Magazine since the practice opened.

Families don’t just choose us for our expertise—they choose us for the personal connections we build. As one parent shared, “The team at Einstein feels like part of our family—always caring, knowledgeable, and there when we need them.” Another wrote, “I trust Einstein completely; their attention to safety and compassion gives me peace of mind.” With a thoughtful approach to care and a heartfelt dedication to your family, we’re here to support you on a journey uniquely yours.

First Appointment

If you are new to the practice, please apply to join the practice to ensure that there is space.  If you already have a child(ren) at Einstein Pediatrics, your new baby will already be considered part of the Einstein family.   We recommend you download and fill out our paperwork prior to the arrival of your baby. When the happy day has arrived, you can tell the hospital staff that you have chosen us as your pediatrician and call to set up that first newborn appointment.

What to Bring

  • Any paperwork from the hospital, including hearing screen results and immunization records.
  • Any available insurance information (often only the parent's insurance is available at the first visit).
  • Plenty of diapers and an extra set of clothes.
  • Please complete the new patient forms prior to the visit to help make the appointment as smooth as possible.
